A call

Well.. the school usually send messages to the student's parents' handphone via sms to inform them of certain news... for whatever reason i am not so certain.. no news ever reach us...not halilz nor my handphone...

well.. i just recieved a call from one of hatice's classmate... merve's mom... she was asking me whether hatice will be joining the 10 days' free lessons (plus free school service) which will be held this monday... the teachers will be revising the lessons the pre school students had learnt in the previous academic calendar...


of course i was shocked of her questions as i knew not anything at all of such thing...the reason why she called was that it seems that merve told her mom that she will only be joining that 10 days' lessons only if hatice comes too ... ohhh.. that is so sweet!

Unfortunately, this saturday,halil, the kids and i r scheduled to spend our time in sapanca... most likely halil will leave us there on monday while w spend our time in sapanca with baba, mıstık...and...whoever else who wishes to stay there... i cant really back off of this plan coz if truth is to be told, my job will be basically cooking for whoever stays there... baba loves it there.. he feels happy staying in sapanca... so what is the function of a bride if i cant look after him eh?

.....so that school program is a totally an off thing... sorry merve! if i had known this news earlier on, i could have arranged the sapanca trip some other time....

i am not sure if merve's mom can persuade merve to join the program now that hatice wont be joining it.. all my best to them...

The school's effort is divine i have to say.. giving a free education course for 10 days for free (pls bear in mind that this is a private school where money is important)... i salute their effort... but i think halil and i r among those parents who r very lax about education.. this is a holiday ...i am not really keen on sending my kid to school on a holiday... no offence anyone... :0)

i have just heard that the grade one students in the next school calender (that will be hatice) will be starting the school early than the rest of the students.. (10th september)...

Like when hatice entered her pre school late.... i am afraid hatice will be joining them a little bit teeny weeny bit late for the first grade as well.....as in 3 days late (ops... guilty look to all the school teachers' who may be reading this..as i am sure there r ).. if u wanna complain.. u can always contact the dad... u can get his number from the school secrectary.. i am only a devoted wife :0)

As i am writing this.. my daughter is busy singing opera!!! the sound is really a pain to the ears!!! hahahahahahah... kızım! go to ur cousin merve (who is 18 years old) n get a voice lesson from her! hahahahahah

Summer in Sapanca

All her life, summer was, is and will always be related to baba's sapanca house coz that is the place where we spend most of our days in Summer.....esp to get away from the heat of istanbul... The green...the clean air...sapanca is never too hot.... it is located uphill...and even if we do get all hot n sweaty, there is always the pool we can jump into right infront of the house, at the garden area....

Before the summer holiday, I brought that 15 YTL book from nilgün hanım.. hatice's class teacher, to be done during summer... guilty as charged, we havent even done any of the pages but one ... but what was she busy with all these time? Well

She was quite fair before the holiday...now she is dark chocolate in colour! hehehe Well.. if she goes to Malaysia with the skin color she is now..without opening her mouth, people will definitely think of her as a Malay girl :0)

Jungle trekking (büyük tür)..for one hour and a half whenever possible..and it was refreshing
coz after the trekking, we get to jump into the pool!

A bicycle ride as the dad played the basketball wth the lil bro..

She wanted to learn how to do pony tail hair design... so i taught her using 3 ropes n she did it! i am so proud of her! in a year or two, i think she will do her own design before going to school...

And like mother like daughter... she is interested in taking photos.. these r 2 photos (among many other) that she snapped while we were in Sapanca..

Life is not only learned in formal education.. For life to be complete... informal education i strongly believe should be inculcated within a child... and the love for nature is definitely not to be left out...
